PS3 Problems Fixed

The Causes (YLOD – Yellow light of death)

You know you are experiencing the “yellow lights of death” if you go to turn on your system and find it dead. More specifically, you will notice the red light turn yellow only briefly before flipping back to red, so you cannot turn it on.

You may also be facing a screen that is solid red or which freezes up. While it is believed the “yellow lights of death” YLOD problem is caused by the unit overheating, these other problems can be caused by a variety of issues, which believe more than 20 reasons behind every single case

What YLOD repair wizard Offers

Developed by a PS3 repairman Paul Thompson who has years of experience working on all models of the gaming system, this program allows absolutely anyone to fix their PS3 right in their own home! That is quite remarkable, considering the high price (up to 0/fix if your warantee is over) that Sony is currently charging to make these repairs.

This is how it works. You go online to the YLOD repair wizard website and pay less than for the program, which gives you lifetime instant access a member only website where you can access the best variety of information on fixing all of your PS3 YLOD, hardware and software problems.

Besides written instructions with excellent pictures in pdf that show you exactly how to fix your problems quickly, the member’s site also features very detailed step by step no-brainer videos that will allow you to simply follow along with your own system without stopping to read.

The program offers a solid money back guarantee if you find it does not fix your problems within 60 days of purchase and members have access to professional help online if they have problems.

What to Really Expect

In our opinion, the question isn’t whether YLOD Repair wizard is a great deal (because obviously it’s a bargain), but whether it actually does what it claims. The biggest catch we noticed was that the website claims you can fix your PS3 in an hour..

While some people who are experienced may be able to do that, it may take longer for others… Since there are a variety of possible causes for the common PS3 problems, it may take someone who has never opened up a gaming system before some time to follow through the directions and figure out the problem, let alone going through with the fix.

Note that one would always feel uncomfortable opening up a gaming console to do a fix like this on your own… It is completely normal because we know you must be thinking something like “Is it dangerous?” or “Would I damage my Ps3 further?” … Listen, we have reviewed YLOD Repair wizard extremely carefully before writing this review… All the detailed videos and pdf guides included in this package is Guaranteed able to take care of your PS3 yellow lights of death, red screen and freezing problems rather safely and EFFECTIVELY.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is to follow the instructions closely, if you feel in doubt for any solutions, please do not hesitate asking their technical staff… They are more than happy to help fixing your problem!

Hi! My name is Paul Thompson. I am a professional PS3 repairman with a PS3 repair business located in Melbourne, Australia, which I run from home. I have been in the PS3 repair business for over 2 years now and have been repairing PS3′s ever since they first came out. But lately, I have been noticing a rather large amount of repair requests coming from a particular problem and it seems to be quite common. And that is the Yellow/Red/Green Light problem and Red Screen, which can easily be repaired from home (D.I.Y), rather than from Sony. fix all ps3 problems http://www.ps3problemsgone.tk

Help Me! I’ve got the PS3 Flashing Red Light

To fix the PS3 flashing red light you basically either send it to Sony or repair it yourself.

Sending your PS3 to Sony

The benefit of sending your PS3 to Sony is that a trained and experienced technician will fix the PS3 flashing red light.

However it’ll cost you 0 (unless your PS3 is under warranty). That’s half the value of a new PS3! Also it can take up to 6 weeks to get your PS3 back, and when you do get it back you’ll find that your HDD memory would have been erased (Yes! Sony wipes the hard drive).

Caution-If you open your PS3 case, you will void the warranty

Fixing it yourself

Firstly if you are even going to attempt to fix it yourself, you need a good PS3 repair guide. When you look for a good repair guide make sure it offers:

safe repair methods
step by step instructions
lots of pictures and maybe even some videos so that you better understand what you have to do
some sort of support such as a members area or email support so that you can ask for help if you get stuck
allows you to do repairs using simple household items
some sort of guarantee so that if it doesn’t work you can get your money back

The benefits of using a good PS3 repair guide to fix the PS3 flashing red light are:

These guides usually cost less than half the price of sending your PS3 to Sony
Many of them offer 1 hour fixes
Some of them deal with a variety of problems that your PS3 can have. So if you fix the PS3 flashing red light and your PS3 unfortunately has another problem later in you may be able to fix that one too using the guide. Compare this to sending your PS3 to Sony multiple times paying 0 each time!

The drawback to using a repair guide:

You have to do the repair yourself…although that’s not really a disadvantage if you are interested in electronics and want to see the insides of a PS3.

When I was surfing the net I found this good repair guide. Check it out for yourself keeping in mind the criteria above.

Your options to fix the PS3 Red Screen

One day you feel like relaxing and playing some games on your PS3. You go to turn it on and what happens? Instead of the menu, you get the PS3 red screen. What is the red screen and more importantly what can you do about it?

What is the PS3 red screen?

The PS3 red screen is an error message displayed in multiple languages on a red background, hence the name “PS3 red screen”. The error message goes like this: “A serious error has occurred. Contact technical support for assistance.”

What can you do to fix the PS3 red screen?

You can listen to the instructions and call Sony for assistance.

They’ll probably request that you send your PS3 to them for repairs. Now this is a good idea if your PS3 is still under warranty since they shouldn’t charge you for the repairs. If you open the case then you will void the warranty.

However if your warranty is expired you will be charged about 0, that’s quite steep considering the price of a new PS3 is around 0.

Also, everyone who send their PS3 to Sony (whether it is under warranty or not) will have to wait about 6 weeks to get it back.

OR

You can fix the PS3 red screen yourself. But in order to do this you will need some sort of PS3 repair guide that will tell you step-by-step how to fix the problem. This is a really good option for those who PS3′s warranty has run out. Make sure you get a good PS3 repair guide. I’ve seen some out there that offers safe repair methods, step-by-step instructions and 1 hour fixes. Some even have email support and members area so that you can ask for help if you get stuck. And the best part is that all the guides I have seen are below ! That’s less than half the price of sending your PS3 to Sony!

If you are thinking of repairing your PS3 by yourself you MUST have a good PS3 repair guide otherwise you may be unable to repair it or even stand the risk of damaging your PS3 further. Want a good repair guide? Check out this PS3 repair guide!

Playstation 3 Problems – Fix PS3 Black Screen

know how to fix PS3 black screen errors yourself, quickly and easily. The PS3 black screen of death is not an insurmountable problem, and it can be fixed without too much effort or difficulty. Also, you won’t need to send your PS3 console back to Sony for repair; instead you can do it yourself.

Before we can look at repairing this error, we need to look at the causes of it. One potential reason for the PS3 blank screen error is HDMI problems with your console. The PS3 uses HDMI to communicate its signal to your TV, so if there is a problem with this connection then you are unlikely to be able to see any picture on your TV.

Another cause of the black screen of death on your Playstation 3 is a problem with the set-up of your console. You may have, at some stage, inadvertently changed your console’s settings (or an application on your console may have done the same) By resetting your PS3 to its factory set-up, you can then get rid of Playstation 3 black screen problems yourself.

The first thing you need to do is to see if you can repair your PS3 by fixing a broken HDMI connection between your console and your TV. Firstly, power down your console if it switched on. Next, you can try simply removing the HDMI cable and then re-inserting it, thus fixing the connection if it was loose.

If this does not work then your HDMI cable may actually be damaged; try swapping to a different cable (borrow one off of a friend or family member) and see if that fixes the problem. If so then you will need to purchase a new HDMI cable to permanently fix your Playstation 3 black screen problems.

However, if trying a new cable does not fix your PS3 and get rid of that pesky blank screen then you more than likely have a settings conflict on your console that needs to be resolved. The good news is that this is not particularly difficult to repair either. Here are the steps you need to follow in order to reset your PS3 console to its factory default settings – please note that if done correctly this should not delete any saved games or information stored on your hard drive.

1. Place your Playstation in “stand-by” mode.

2. Hold down the touch power button until you hear three beeps.

3. Continue to hold down the button until you hear two short beeps, followed by one longer beep.

4. Release the power button, and a series of instructions should appear on screen.

5. Follow these instructions until you see a list of 6 options.

6. Select option number 2, then follow the rest of the on-screen instructions.

By doing this you will hopefully fix your PS3 black screen errors permanently, and without having to pay Sony to repair the problem if your console happens to be out of warranty. Playstation 3 problems such as the blank screen are generally easily fixed, you just need to know exactly what you are doing,

If you are unable to get your console working again, or you would like more step-by-step instructions with pictures and videos please click here for more about how to fix PS3 black screen errors yourself at home.

Tips on How To Fix PS3 Red Light of Death

So you have suffered the Red Light on the PS3?

Don’t worry! Now, I am sharing some tips with you on how to fix PS3 red light of death. According to my experience in the past, I believe it is the easiest and quickest way to fix this problem. Sony are in complete denial about their PS3’s and are charging 0 and up to repair just one PS3. Here you can do it for almost nothing!

If you have suffered this problem, then you’d know that it is very devastating as PS3’s aren’t cheap! You were probably expecting Sony’s high quality standard when you bought your PS3. Am I right? I should know, because this has happened to me not once, but twice.

And I can tell you, it’s really annoying!

Now, there is no one single fix for the Red light. This is because the light just means “general hardware failure”. And because of this, there are many things that could go wrong. We assist you in figuring out which one it is.

OK, follow the steps below to get your PS3 up and running now!

COOL DOWN THE PS3- THE BASICS

Sometimes the red light may flash because of overheating (being too hot). Follow the steps below:

1. Place your PlayStation 3™ on an open shelf that isn’t shared with other electronics. If your entertainment system has doors, do not close the doors while the system is on.

2. Avoid placing your system in corners of a room. Heat can easily get trapped in corners. The PS3™ already produces a massive amount of heat, and the trapped heat will overheat your system much faster.

3. Turn your PS3™ off for half an hour and wait, and then turn it back on.

4. Line up your console with an air conditioning vent. Use your already-in-place air conditioning system before buying additional cooling units. It’s already blowing cold air through the house, so let it blow on the PS3™ as well.

5. Leave the PS3™ running for a little while, and then touch the sides of the walls of the shelving. If any one side is hot to the touch, look at purchasing and installing fans specifically for the PS3™, targeting the hot side of the console. Plenty of third-party manufacturers produce fans for all sides of the system, and you can find them at any gaming retailer.

6. Purchase a laptop cooling pad for the console to sit on. You can find these at any computer accessory retailer, and you will be amazed at how quickly these electronic pads will cool down your PS3™ (this should be a last resort).

7. If all else fails, turn off the high-definition or lower the resolution. The high-definition capability is the cause of the extensive heat. If lowering the high-definition resolution doesn’t help, turn off the high-definition setting completely.

Final Tips/Myths:

Setting your PS3™ on its side doesn’t affect disk reading abilities It is better to set your PS3™ facing upwards, so that the fan is facing up towards the ceiling (as hot air naturally rises). This should help your PS3™ cool off better
